letting Go....

Just like Queen Elsa from Disney's Frozen, how can you let it go! The leaves are beginning to change, and many have fallen to the ground, the temperature is shifting and the days are becoming shorter.

I understand it may sound cliché, but trees and nature provide a perfect analogy to illustrate the beauty of letting go. Trees shed their leaves to make room for new growth!

Being individuals with a sense of purpose, we are designed to embrace the ever-changing seasons of the Earth.

Fall is a beautiful time to reflect and let go of what no longer serves you. It's the perfect time to reflect on your life.

  • What went well this year?

  • What would you have preferred to be different?

  • What are you holding on to that you know is weighing you down?

  • What old habits, outdated limiting beliefs or stagnant relationships are taking up valuable time, energy and space in your heart and mind?

Take some time this week to sit quietly! Yes I know, for many that is uncomfortable and you claim that you don't know how! Furthermore why you should do it! It's a friendly reminder of how much you carry with you day to day! Take some time to try one of these reflective exercises.

Mindfulness Practice: Set Aside 5-10 mins at least twice this week to sit in stillness, focusing on your breath and slight body movements. As you breathe in, imagine drawing in fresh energy and life. As you exhale, visualize releasing anything that feels heavy or unaligned in your life. This simple yet effective practice can help you become more aware of what needs to be let go of.

Journal for Clarity: Take 10 mins this week to journal on the above reflective questions. Write freely without judgement or expectation. Trust what comes up. Often we already know what we need to let go of and to release. WE just need to create space for that awareness.

Declutter Your Spaces: Pick a common area of your everyday life-- whether in you home, your schedule or your mental space and declutter! Clear out whats not needed and begin to notice how it feels to create more room. This is a simple YET POWERFUL practice that reflects the natural shedding of fall and sets the stage for future growth.

Affirmations for Releasing: "I release what no longer serves me and make space for new opportunities and areas of growth in my life" Write this affirmation and post it somewhere you can see it and read it daily! Read it aloud, repeat it and feel it!

Letting go is a natural part of growth and it opens us up to new possibilities. As we move deeper into the season, take time to trust the process of letting go and honor the growth thats already happening beneath the surface.
